In this episode, the conversation dives into the realities of bodybuilding coaching, from tracking client progress and managing the psychological demands of prep to the nuance that separates good coaches from great ones. It expands into supplements, protein intake, GLP-1s, insulin, HGH, TRT management, and the often-overlooked health considerations enhanced lifters need to understand. Along the way, there are unfiltered stories, industry rants, practical cooking tips, and plenty of humor before wrapping up with cardio, prep decisions, and lighthearted moments.

Ready to go from “holiday fluffy” to shredded for summer? In this video, Big Paul breaks down exactly how fat loss works (no BS), what actually matters for getting lean, and how to do it without losing muscle or wrecking your metabolism.
You’ll learn the real “3 levers” for fat loss:
âś… Eat less (diet strategy first)âś… Do more cardio (smart, not savage)âś… Use fat burners strategically (including GLP-1s, stimulants, etc.)
Plus, why macros are better than calorie counting for body composition, how carb cycling can help you stay strong and full while leaning out, and what to realistically expect with weekly fat loss (spoiler: 1–2 lbs/week is the sweet spot for keeping muscle).
What’s inside:
💥 The fastest way to lose fat (and why cardio isn’t the first move)💥 How to use carb cycling + refeeds without getting fat💥 Why protein stays high (and usually shouldn’t change)💥 How to adjust carbs/cardio when you stall (small moves that work)💥 Why intense cardio can make you look/feel like trash💥 How long to run a fat loss phase (16–20 weeks) + when to take a diet break💥 How people accidentally create metabolic damage (and how to avoid it)

In this episode, Big Paul opens up about his sky-high hemoglobin levels and the ongoing effects of GLP-1 medications — from appetite control to potential impacts on iron and cravings. We also dive into a 100mg Dbol study that shocked everyone, plus a deep look at Arnold’s legendary physique and how bodybuilding standards have changed.

Welcome back to another Anabolic Q&A—where we break down real questions from lifters about bodybuilding progress, staying healthy, managing side effects, and making smarter decisions instead of doing the “stupid stuff” that wrecks bloodwork, performance, and long-term results.
In this episode, Big Paul covers the topics people actually argue about in the gym and online: berberine vs metformin, the truth about 19-nors and prolactin, when Primobolan starts to “shine,” how to think about estrogen management, what happens when you go off the rails during a rebound, water retention + sodium/potassium balance, and more.00:00 - Intro01:30 - Berberine Vs. In this video, we break down a classic early-1980s Dianabol (Dbol) study and answer the question every gym bro argues about: Does Dbol build real contractile muscle tissue—or mostly water/“inflated” weight?
We look at why scale weight and “looking bigger” doesn’t automatically mean you added true muscle protein, and how researchers used total body nitrogen + potassium to estimate what the weight gain was actually made of. Then we connect the findings to real-world outcomes lifters talk about: rapid size gains, strength bumps, and why so much of it disappears after stopping.
✅ What you’ll learn:
• Why weight gain ≠ muscle gain (contractile tissue vs fluid/glycogen/minerals)
• How nitrogen retention and potassium changes can hint at what’s happening inside muscle
• Why Dbol can make you look full, round, and bigger fast—and why it often fades
• The big tradeoffs: blood pressure, water retention, acne, estrogenic effects, gyno risk
• When “quick gains” might be more illusion + leverage than long-term tissue growth

A 2025 study examined UGL steroids sold in Australia to assess their purity and detect hidden contaminants, including heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, and cadmium. Only 4 of 21 samples were correctly dosed, and most contained contaminants.
The study raises legitimate concerns, but it also has limitations that are important to understand before drawing broad conclusions.
